A CREMATORIUM IN SWEDEN IS GOING TO USE CREMATION EMISSIONS . . . TO HEAT THEIR BUILDING
Are you worried about the carbon footprint that will be left . . . by your CREMATION? If so, then you might want to consider dying in the town of Halmstad, Sweden. Why?
Recently, an environmental review found that the Halmstad crematorium was pumping too much smoke into the air. And that got crematorium officials thinking about all the heat they were wasting.
So now they're going to RECYCLE the ultra-hot cremation emissions . . . by using them to HEAT their building. Seriously.
According to officials, the plan is not only environmentally-friendly . . . but economically-friendly too. How?
#1.) Using the cremation emissions as a source of heat will allow the facility to save money spent cooling the smoke before releasing it into the air.
#2.) The crematorium will be able to eliminate its heating bill altogether.
And get this . . . if the plan is successful, officials want to expand the project to use cremation emissions to heat homes in the town of Halmstad as well. (Clean Technica)
