I am sure you have heard the ideas that if you're a senior you need to suck it up and give up the idea that you need any health care. A new hip? Unheard of. We simply can't afford to take care of you anymore. You don't need any medications for your high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, etc. Let's take care of the young people. After all, they will be ruling the world very soon.
So here is the solution. When you turn 70, you get a gun and 4 bullets. You are allowed to shoot 2 senators and 2 representatives. Of course, you will be sent to prison where you will get 3 meals a day, a roof over your head and all the health care you need!!! New teeth, great!!! Need glasses, no problem. New hip, knee, kidney, lung, heart? Well bring it on. And who will be paying for all of this. The same government that just told you that you are too old for health care. And, since you will be a prisoner, you won't have to pay any income tax.
This is The Perfect Solution to Senior Health Care!!!=
that is not even funny, based in lies and insulting to read! health care is a moral issue as far as i am concerned. i know you didn't mean anything inflammatory but the apathetic AND zealot approach's people are embracing where this issue is concerned needs to be replaced by reason and civility, not lies no matter how amusing you find their narration IMHO
It's real simple , you put everyone on medicare , period ! You extract savings by putting a gun to the heads of ins. Co's , drug Co's ,hosp's, doc's and lawyers. Regulate them with cost of living increases being the ceiling NOT THE BASE in determining a payment schedule. medicare works it needs to be funded correctly . Combining medicare , medicaid and the VA , alone will cut down on waste. There's no need to use a wrecking ball on health care and create a bureaucratic monster that won't get the job done and once implemented could never be undone .

the problem is we cant afford it! If we cut the pork out of the last 3 stimulus packages we would have a additional trillion off the budget. That would help a bit I think! Prossman
we are talking about 100 billion a year MAX, not chump change i know, but streamlining the bureaucracy and ending redundancies in administration will take care of a large amount, rolling back the Bush tax cuts will take care of the rest, or most of it anyway. that is a drop in the bucket compared to what we gift wrapped for AIG or wasted in stimulus and bailouts and is for the benefit of EVERYONE! anyone who thinks that helping the uninsured is not in their own best interest is wrong. anyone who thinks their insurance could not be better is not sick. in the overall picture we are not talking about an inordinate sum here and the benefits will be ubiquitous! given the direction of the status quo we can not afford ignoring this! further, it is a moral issue IMO! a complete restructuring of the health care system is way over due! would you want the Police to be for profit? how about the Fire Dept or Municipal Government? it is my considered opinion that health care is no less in the public interest and should be viewed through that perspective!! and if an insurance company fails, so much the better, they have been raping the American people for so long and in such an unforgivable way that i have zero sympathy for them!
, rolling back the Bush tax cuts will take care of the rest, or most of it anyway.
I do not mean this as a slam against you at all brother. But if you had a wife and kids you would NOT be so quick to want to roll back the Bush tax cuts. They do not only help the just "Rich" as you like to say. But they help the struggling families that have kids.
We need to cut back on some of the free loaders who have been on welfare forever. Or at least make them work to earn what they are getting. I have been there and needed it. Got the help and moved on. But I actually have family that has basically lived on it for as long as I can remember and there is no physical reason they can not go out and get a job. Dont get me wrong if its needed its needed. But there has got to be a limit.
i hate to say it so bluntly, but you are WRONG! have you ignored everything the president has said since WAY before he was elected? he has been very consistent! unless you make 250K u r unaffected, if you are making that much then i need a loan! lest you married people forget, it is us single people who are the ones getting hit the hardest on tax's (same as with insurance)!
