Does it seem like we are waiting for the bye to see the real cowboys? Roy Williams is one BAD wr. He is the wr that will force teams to losen up on the doubles on Owens. He is the guy that will bring the dimension that we were hopeing for and had for one season with terry glenn . Roy williams is much better than terry glenn. I heard today the Roys forte is the quick slant and LOVES to run it. With Romo out and brad Johnson in brad needs a guy that can run a good quick slant. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Think about after the bye week when we have romo, kosier, felix jones all back, how effective will this offense be?!!! ROy willams could be the peice that blows this offense wide open. Prossman

Roy is a beast ! and I am a pessimist . No questioning his ability here, but his presence here may complicate matters both on and off the field. We all know the black hole owens has become , does this aquisition add fuel to be consumed ? Another point , does Roy in the mix cause romo to hold the ball a bit longer deciding on who to throw the ball to ?
And this , coming from the dark side , does this move signal the beginning of the end for owens ; has jerry decided the karma on this team must change ?
ps- Roy will help johnson , but how much of the system can he digest in three days ?

I don't see jerry turning on T O. he brings the star power that Jerry loves and believes Dallas desirves. T O will play as long as he wants in dallas as long as he doesn't go crazy. Roy is the future posssesion wr for us over the next 5+ years. T O will be 35 after this season but honestly could play another 3+ years. Jerry Rice went until 41 before he finally called it quits, and T O has the same workout regimen. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Don't be surprised if dallas doesn't draft another wr in the draft next year. I have the feeling We will look ar bringing in a burner, and I hear the wr class is pretty strong. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Owens is frustraited right now but also knows teams will continue to double him until we figure out how to beat it. Hopefully RW is talented enough to beat 1on 1 coverage and force defenses to adjust their game plans to stop him. Once they are forced to do that the defensive logjam will be broken and we will blow defenses appart. Then it will be a true pick you poison, Do they run multiple dbs, with MB3 and felix jones? Do the leave whitten, T O , or RW on man to man coverage. I really belive we can start dictastiong again vs being dictated to. Prossman

Pross, why would the Cowboys go the route of a highly placed draft pick, when they have a ton of money already committed to To, Roy Williams, and Patrick Crayton? Witten just got a new contract, and Bennett was drafted this past year. Barber and Felix Jones are committed long term as well. I would go defensive line and offensive line in next year's draft and hit it hard and often in selections.
If somehow Adam Jones can make through the boneyard of the 'living dead' and return as a Cowboy, then Dallas doesn't have to do anything in the secondary.

I don't thing Jerry would trade up to get a big name wr in next years draft, but a burner in the second or 3rd wouldn't surprise me. Especially the way Jerry has been takeing what whats their vs what we need. Honestly, I would love to see us load up on olineman, inside lbs, and NTs. I would have to think a safety would be on our radar in the 2nd two. Prossman
