Scorp, I'm not saying ogletree is the wr savior for dallas. The only thing the kid has done is perform. In the preseason vs 4th string he beat them, 3rd string he beat them, 2nd string he beat them, and vs the starters he beat them. When ever he has had a shot, he has produced, including last week. The williams wr was pumped up because the ran a 4.21 , not because he performed on the field.Ogletree has done everything dallas has asked him to do. I could care less if he was a 1st round pick or undrafted , he just makes plays. So lets find out what he has or doesnt have. Prossman

Ogletree has show signs of being a good player. should we not see if he can be a good player because Randall Williams sucked? Dont see the logic in that one scorp. ironmaiden

I just don't have the same feelings about him, yet. I'm all for letting young players play, until Ogletree receives extensive playing time. Jerry Jones, or us will never know what they have in K-Tree? Hell! I don't even like giving him a nickname at this point.

I'm not going to mention is name, until he begins to post here. I'll give you a hint, its someone who posts @ the Cowboys Zone. Its all I'm going to say ... At least, the last time I saw his name. He was still blogging away on that site.

Scorp, I've stood alongside 'ya for quite a few years now...so, Thumper, or anyone else is just another friend of ours on this or other sites as well. Except for the Scout.com site, they are a bunch of self serving jerks in my book.
As to Ogletree, I think that he well could be a true jewel in the rough. He has great body control, soft hands, and top shelf speed matched with finess in running routes. He is a good one, and after Roy Williams either makes a Sherman's March to the Sea, or shoots himself in the foot, he has to bide time and one more training camp to get his Miles Austin' type of shot at starting.

I agree Big A, Jerry probably won't cut Roy , but if another coach comes in he may have the guts to slide #11 down the depth chart a slot or 2.

Rw11 does what he does. He seems to have found his niche with thisd team. He had a bad game last week but the previous three seemed to be settleing in. As far as who is our number one....... make plays like a number one, then b!tch about it! Nuff said Prossman

This topic does bring up certain question regarding team identity. We dont have a true #1 WR. We dont have or might be better stated... dont utilize #1 RB. Romo is the identity of this offense, and if he maintains his current level of play, thats a good thng.
now back to the original topic.... IMO its a great thing that this offense doesnt have a clear cut number one wr.
If Austin had never broken out this season, RW11 would be this teams clear #1, and I seriously doubt we would even be discussing playoff scenarios, because we would already be evaluating next seasons draft, like most Skins fans are doing.
Miles Austin was and is the X factor for this season!!!

Now, isn't that same Ogletree a speed burner? He runs hard and has good routes. Every single time that he has been put onto the carpet, he has produced. That is why he was a left field addition prior to camp, and is on the roster. He shows up with plays. He has even produced in pressure downs...on 3rd downs. I say he plays a very similar and enticing role that Miles Austin did prior to getting his chance to start. He's not the 'usual' hanger on that the Cowboys have had for the past ten years. This kid is a receiver waiting for his opportunities to increase....

KO is chomping at the bit to perform everytime he is giving the chance to do so, and Romo seems to have alot of faith and confidence in him when hes in the game. His play is demanding more and more time in games, so it wouldnt surprise me to see a few deep shots coming his way.

I think that Garrett will subcomb to his talents, and open the door for a dminishing return on Roy Williams despite the Jerry Jones investment...this may get juicy before it's all over?
