Around the Ranch: On the road, in a dome
Rick Gosselin DMN
The Cowboys make a rare road appearance in a dome Saturday when they visit the New Orleans Saints. Of the 81 games the Cowboys have played on the road this decade, only 14 have been in domes. The Cowboys are 5-9 in those games, losing indoors at Arizona, Atlanta, Detroit twice, Houston, Indianapolis, Minnesota, New Orleans and St. Louis.
In their only previous visit to the Superdome this decade, the Cowboys fell 13-7 in 2003. And that was against a mediocre Saints team, which finished 8-8 thanks to that season-ending victory over the Cowboys. This may be the greatest Saints team ever with a 13-0 record heading into Saturday night.
The Cowboys have lost in their last three visits to New Orleans. Overall, the Cowboys have lost five straight to the Saints. Their last victory came in 1994 when the Cowboys lined up Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin on offense
