J.Ellis Blog:Locker Room Standing Behind Brooking
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LINK
Josh Ellis
Keith Brooking wasn't feeling festive Tuesday night, letting a local TV newsman have it for his comments about these Cowboys not being winners.
On Wednesday, several players took Brooking's back in the squabble, including free safety Ken Hamlin, who looked up from his game of spades to yell for the media to get out of the locker room after their alotted time had run out.
While some Cowboys have wanted to place blame on the media for their problems for a couple years now, others are starting to join in the fight, believing it to have gotten personal.
It should say something that DeMarcus Ware, a guy who doesn't make excuses, has a problem with the criticism of his head coach. He said he agrees with Brooking "100 percent."
"Wade is probably one of the best coaches I've been around teaching-wise, especially defensively," Ware said. "He knows what's going on and how to coach his players. He knows when to push his players and when to lay off the players. It's all a perception of some guys in the media that maybe he is too soft.
"You'll have guys in this locker room pushing for him and pulling for him and letting everyone know that he is a great coach and does everything the right way." __________________

Wade Phillips isn't going to change his coaching style. No matter how much criticism he gets. He not one to belittle a player on the sidelines. Just once, I'd like to see him to it, though.
