StrTgram:Cowboys safety Hamlin out 2-4 weeks with ankle sprain
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LINK
IRVING — Veteran free safety Ken Hamlin could miss up to a month with a high ankle sprain suffered Sunday at Green Bay.
Alan Ball or Pat Watkins will replace Hamlin this week against Washington. Rookie Mike Hamlin, out all season with a broken wrist, could be activated Sunday for the first time. Mike Hamlin can play both safety positions, although he’s mainly worked at strong safety behind Gerald Sensabaugh, who continues to play with a cast on his surgically repaired thumb.
“Alan Ball and some guys will step up, that’s what it’s about,” linebacker Bradie James said. “When you’re No. 1 guys are down, you got to have the backups come in and play like their No. 1s and not miss a beat.”
