I know we gotta re-sign Ware, don't know how much money will be left over, but we got a short window to win a superbowl, and IMO what this team needs to make a huge improvement in 2010 would be to add these 2 F/A's, and while they should cost us a pretty penny, they shouldn't be break the bank players.
#1 Go get a compliment playmaker opposite Roy Williams, Losing T.O. is KILLING US, teams know no one can really go deep and threaten the safeties, and no one opposite Roy is making teams pay.
So, lets go get Leee Evans, he's a pure speed guy playmaker who would IMO be the perfect compliment opposite Roy Williams, he'd certainly put pressure on the safeties and give us a lgeite speed W.R. to stretch the field, which will open up roy on the other sie and open up Witten over the middle, and open up our running game more keeping the safeties from cheating up, this ONE PLAYER added to our offense would put our offense back to unstoppable again and gives defense another player to have to worry about, cause NO ONE is worrying about Crayton or Austin, so this is a HUGE NEED IMO and shouldn't break the bank since he's not a true #1 W.r. ,but he's a very good one who is a deep threat guy and a playmaker, this offense needs more playmakers and more speed at wideout, this guy solves it all.
.
Secondly, lets get a TRUE N.T., I say go get Casey Hampton from the Steelers.
This allows us to cut ties with Marcus Spears and allows us to move Ratliff to L.D.E. which he'll see less double teams which will make his pass rush that much more effective while simultaneously makes us a LOT BETTER versus the run with a true run stuffer in the middle.
This guy improves our overall D-line bigtime, and like Evans, he'll cost us, but won't break the bank..
So, give me these 2 guys on our team RIGHT NOW and we're 4-0.
Now, with these 2 guys in F/A, onto the draft.
Now we don't have to use a top pick on a W.R. or a D-line, which means we can use our top 2 picks to improve the O-line.
In round 1, draft the top L.T. to replace Flozell, which frees up cap space as well as gets us a future franchise L.T., and in round 2 use it on a top guard to play L.G.1
Totally revamp the left side of the O-line.
Then draft yet another O.T. in round 4 to backup our 1st round pick and Columbo.
In round 3, use it on a safety.
Then use our 5th rouder on a C.B. who is an explosvie punt returner so we don't have to go through yet ANOTHER YEAR of watchin Crayton get his 2 yards and a cloud of dust and get tackled.
Use our other picks on situational pass rusher and D-line depth.
IMO this would put us over the top in 2010 along with a new head coach and new O.C.!
