Now I sit me down in school Where praying is against the rule For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green, That's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks. They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong, We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls, Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess, When chaos reigns the school's a mess. So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
If you aren't ashamed to do this, please pass this on.
Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'
Not ashamed- Pass this on.

CRAPOLA! pure unadulterated CRAP! you want church school, get it at church!! you want religious schools? they have them! put your kids in them! leave the public schools alone and out of your OBSESSION with making everyone else believe in YOUR god! the world does not begin and end inside of YOUR BELIEFS!! which incidentally, i would like to point out (even though it is not relevant to my point) that BY DEFINITION to believe is to accept as truth with NO EVIDENCE FOR SUPPORT!!!

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson Samuel Adams, First Chief Justice John Jay Names synonymous with the spirit of our country Founding fathers of the U.S.A.
Over 200 years ago they shook off the chains of tyranny from Great Britain By divine call Citing 27 biblical violations they wrote the Declaration of Independence With liberty and justice for all
But something happened since Jefferson called the Bible the cornerstone For American liberty then put it in our schools as a light Or since "Give me liberty or give me death", Patrick Henry said Our country was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ
We eliminated God from the equation of American life Thus eliminating the reason this nation first began From beyond the grave I hear the voices of our founding fathers plead You need God in America again
Of the 55 men who formed the Constitution Fifty-two were active members of their church Founding fathers like Noah Webster who wrote the first dictionary Could literally quote the Bible chapter and verse
James Madison said, "We've staked our future on our ability to fallow The Ten Commandments with all our heart" These men believed you couldn't even call yourself an American If you subvert the Word of God
In his farewell address, Washington said, "You can't have National morality apart from religious principle," and it's true 'Cause right now we have nearly 150,000 kids carrying guns To these war zones we call public schools
In the '40's and '50's student problems were chewing gum and talking In the '90's, rape and murder are the trend The only way this nation can even hope to last this decade Is to put God in America again
The only hope for America is Jesus The only hope for America is him If we repent of our ways stand firm and say We need God in America again
Abe Lincoln said, "The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation Will be the philosophy of the government of the next" So when you eliminate the Word of God from the classroom and politics You eliminate the nation that Word protects America is now number one in teen pregnancy and violent crime Number one in illiteracy, drug use and divorce Every day a new holocaust of 5,000 unborn die While pornography flood our streets like open sewers
America's dead and dying hand is on the threshold of the Church While the spirit of Sodom and Gomorrah vex us all When it gets to the point where people would rather come out of the closet than clean it It's the sign that the judgement of God is gonna fall
If there's ever been a time to rise up Church, it's now And as the blood bought saints of the living God proclaim That it's time to send the alarm from the Church house to The White House And say, "We want God in America again"
I believe it's time America to stand up and proclaim That one nation under God is our demand And send this evil lifestyle back to Satan where it came from And let the Word of God revive our dying land
For Jesus Christ is coming back again in all His glory And every eye shall see Him on that day That's why a new anointing of God's power's coming on us To boldly tell the world you must be saved
Because astrology won't save you, your horoscope won't save you The Bible says these things are all farce If you're born again you don't need to look to the stars for your answers 'Cause you can look to the very One who made those stars
History tells us time and time again To live like there's no God makes you a fool If you want to see kids live right Stop handing out condoms and start handing out the Word of God in schools
The only hope for America is Jesus The only hope for America is him If we repent of our ways stand firm and say We need God in America again
We need God in America God in America God in America again

I will not appologize for my belief in Christ nor will I bow down and not speak about Him. My whole point for starting this thread was to show that freedom of speach in this country is now only really available to those who DO NOT speak of Jesus Christ and its only getting worse. Is Obama the cause NO. But he is part of the problem.
Now I know this may sound like an attack on you Ark but it is not. You just happen to have an oposing opinion and that is perfectly fine. I see a time in the near future that Christians in this country are going to have some choices to make. I am just digging my feet in a little early ;-)

my issue is not with you nor your belief's, my issue is with your self righteous, with your entitled view points, and all while playing the victim! you know what is good for you AND what is good for everyone else!! anyone who does not think like you do is WRONG! cry victim all day long when in fact it is your type that have been in control since 1980, but you have all been REJECTED by America in the last election!! you all have NO RESPECT for ANYONE who is not inside your belief system and are FAR TOO COMFORTABLE IMO with shoving YOUR values down our collective throats!
lastly, America was not founded on or for Christianity, it was founded FOR FREE PRACTICING OF ALL RELIGION OR NO RELIGION AT ALL!! their religion of choice just happened to be a form of christianity. understanding oppression of the majority, they worded the CONSTITUTION to protect EVERYONE!!!! not just your beloved christians!! diversity is strength, homogeny is not!! our founding fathers understood that! if you want a theocracy, move to the Middle East, there are several to choose from!! and for the record glen, Obama is not part of the problem, YOU ARE! AND ALL YOUR FELLOW WING NUTS!! you are all accomplice's in the recent violence they have enacted, since you clearly support it! all of you overly religious people (aka fundamentalist and zealots!) ARE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
if this sounds antagonistic then you read it correctly! glen with all due respect, i have much love for you as a person, but not as a constituent nor as a guide for the collective social consciousness. your kind of thinking is dangerous and a HUGE problem IMO, by minimizing the values of others you are only practicing a self righteous, self important and arrogant form of bigotry IMO

I feel the same about you Kevin. Love ya like a brother. As a matter of fact me and my biological brother have this same argument all the time. You would LOVE him.....lol
But your statements in the above post IMO is really whats wrong with this country. This country is so close to having the hand of God removed from it its not funny. You do not have to believe as I do. I never said that. I just want the same freedom as anyone else has. Which that is not allowed in schools. Like is said in the first "poem" i posted. Everything else is allowed in school but the practice of speaking about Christ is not. I don't have a problem with those other things being allowed as long as Christ is allowed as well.
I don't have a problem with two men getting married if the want to. AS long as the Gov doesnt come to my church and say my Pastor must perform that marriage.

Oh and I am not a religious person. I am a Christian. I am definitely not a fundamentalist. I have tattoos, an earring and listen to that ungodly Christian Rock music. I am not a fundamentalist by any stretch of the imagination.

In recent times, the term "fundamentalist" has become commonly used by the news media to refer to any religious group whom they consider to hold radical views. We may recall frequent references to the mid-east Islamic fundamentalists who have been viewed as fanatics, and often responsible for acts of terrorism.
Similarly, liberal society uses the term fundamentalist to identify any Christian whom they consider to be an extremist. Generally, they classify a Christian as a radical fundamentalist if they merely believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible, if they hold views against sexual permissiveness, homosexuality, abortion on demand, or any views which are politically incorrect.
From the Christian perspective, fundamentalist has traditionally referred to any follower of Christ who believes that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and who believes in its literal interpretation and fundamental teachings. The fundamental Christian believes in the experience of the "new birth" which occurs when faith is placed in Christ as Savior and Lord. To the world this may be viewed as radical, but is very basic to the Christian faith.
The idea of Christian Fundamentalism first emerged as a movement in the 19th century within various Protestant bodies, who reacted against the rising tide of evolutionary theories and modernist Biblical criticism. From a Bible conference of Conservative Protestants meeting in Niagara in 1895, a statement was issued containing what came to be known as the five points of fundamentalism: The verbal inerrancy of Scripture, the divinity of Jesus Christ, the virgin birth, a substitutionary theory of the atonement, and the physical resurrection and bodily return of Christ.¹ In the first half of the 20th century, most Protestant churches in the U.S. were divided into either Fundamentalist or Modernist groups. The term has generally been applied to all those who adhere to strict, conservative (Protestant) orthodoxy in the matter of Biblical inspiration.
In the broad sense, fundamentalism may be used to describe Christians who are uncompromising, conservative and who take their beliefs to the maximum — exactly how every believer should live. But because of recent, increased activism by those identified as fundamentalists, who have promoted unethical actions such as bringing violence against abortion clinics, doctors etc., some academic circles believe that fundamentalism has been redefined by our society. They believe that the philosophy of fundamentalism (at least in the world's eyes) has evolved into a legitimate form of extremism, with views too radical for the balanced, evangelical Christian. For this reason, fundamentalism may no longer be a term which accurately conveys what orthodox Christians really believe.

if you are a christian, you ARE religious! further, more god in society is good TO YOU! and that is my whole point, you do not give a d**n about MY values or the values of anyone whose view is different from yours!
from the dictionary: fundamentalism |ˌfəndəˈmentlˌizəm| noun a form of Protestant Christianity that upholds belief in the strict and literal interpretation of the Bible, including its narratives, doctrines, prophecies, and moral laws. • strict maintenance of ancient or fundamental doctrines of any religion or ideology, notably Islam.

Whenever 'morality' is brought into the conversation , the antagonist sites ' self righteousness' . ... there has to be someone who taps you on the shoulder and says 'you've had enough'.

the simple fact is that anyone who thinks morality is dependent on religion needs to reevaluate you might consider that the imposition of values is considered antagonistic by the imposed upon!

And how is me wanting my kids to have the freedom to carry a Bible to school or be able to pray imposing anything on anyone?
Right now if a child tried to have a Bible study during a break period they would be suspended. But that same child could hand out pro-choice pamplets and nothing would be said.
