the conservative base. Strong military, smaller government, border control, and preserving the rights of the American people. This Mr Grey area , we don't want to offend people, centered Party is not only wishy washy, painful to endure, but completely ineffective. Prossman

Our govt needs to become Fiscally responsible. Their anwser to every problem is to throw money at it. How about balance your own checkbook, and stop blowing money like we have it, BEFORE you ask me for more. We are the largest debtor nation in the HISTORY of the world. I think it is time to change the way we handle our money! Prossman

The moderate republicans are now running the show on our nation's capital. Hence, John McCain. Where's the "gang of 14" now? That's right, half of them have more power in the United States senate. If Senator McCain was so against pork? How come he voted for the bailout bill? Now, the auto industry would like a chunk of that pie, too. When conservatives move to the center, they don't win elections. It should of been a warning sign, when the republicans let spending get out of control. Including the man currently living in the White House. Does the name Mark Foley have something to do with Nancy Pelosi being The Speaker of the House? You damm well bet it is. It doesn't help the republican party. When Senator Ted Stevens was found guilty, either. What does that message send to the whacky liberals? To vote for another liberal candidate. I'm not sure where this country is headed over the next two years? It sounds like, were headed for a financial downfall in this country. Thank goodness! Gas prices are starting to decline. $2.30 for a gallon of gas sounds better than $4.30 a gallon, anyday. The last time the dem-o-rats had full control of congress, when Jimmy Carter was president. Things looked bleak too. One last thought, Jimmy Carter bought us a man named, Reagan. The republican party has a lot of conservative names to throw out there. Newt Gingrich, Governor Bobby Jindall, former senators George Allen & Rick Santorum, and lets not forget, Alaska's Governor Sarah Palin. At least, Senator McCain did something right. By introducing Alaska's best kept secret to the rest of America.

Yeah I think 4 yrs of complete Democratic controll will be all that is needed to get the Repubs back in the show. But I agree with you. They need to get back to their roots. Stay away from the middle and get back to being true conservatives. By the way gas is $1.79 per gallon here

Naaah! It will take the republican party 2 more years. To take back control of the U.S. Congress. At least, its what I'm hoping for. The price of gasoline is $1.90 a gallon where I live. I haven't a clue why, I haven't moved to a so called, "Red State," yet?!?!

Your backyard would be my front yard?
Do they allow rednecks from the northeast in Oklahoma? LMAO You might be a redneck if...
More than one living relative is named after a Southern Civil War general.
You think the stock market has a fence around it.
You think the O.J. trial was the big Sunkist and Minutemaid taste test.
You've ever lost a loved one to kudzu.
Your boat has not left the driveway in 15 years.
Your front porch collapses and kills more than three dogs.
Your coffee table used to be a telephone cable spool.
You keep a can of Raid on the kitchen table.
You've ever used a toilet seat as a picture frame.
Your home has more miles on it than your car.
You might be a redneck if...
You've ever shot a deer from inside your house.
The first words out of your mouth every time you see friends are "Howdy!", "HEY!" or "How Y'all Doin'?" (If they respond with the same... they're a redneck too!)
You have more than two brothers named Bubba or Junior.
You've ever stolen toilet paper from a public restroom.
You clean your nails with a stick.
You prefer car keys to Q-tips.
Your Christmas cards have a copy of your butt included.
People are scared to touch your wife's bathrobe.
Your father encourages you to quit school because Larry has an opening on the lube rack.
You think a Volvo is part of a woman's anatomy.

...When conservatives move to the center, they don't win elections....
If the party was 'labor neutral' they would never lose an election . The only thing that has held the dems together is labor.Who do you think the Reagan democrats were ? You may not remember 'hardhats for nixon' , he won in a landslide against mc govern. Every election except this one the teamsters have backed the G.O.P. they've won the most of them . In these times you'd better be on the workers side , if you want to win ! No other issues matter if you can't put food on the table !
