Wade was really impressed with scandricks ability to play the nickel. He feels he has a really nice feel for what he is doing. Congrats to another rookie making a impact! Prossman

I don't know about all the negative press Wade Phillips has been receiving by Cowboy fans and the media. I kind of think that drafts over the past two years have netted the Cowboys a bunch of very significant players.
I think that Bill Parcells was fortunate that he was toned down by Jerry Jones. DeMarcus Ware is a Cowboy now, despite the wishes of sequence by Bill in that draft. Jerry stuck to his guns, as he has done so well on many, many other decisions. Bill didn't hit much on his last draft, nor have much luck with any offensive linemen that he latched on during his four years. His top pick, Bobby Carpenter is still not any return on that pick.
Scandrick, was quite a pickup. He has blazing skill and nerves of steel. He is a very good slot/nickle cornerback. I'm glad that he is a Cowboy. Mike Jenkins will be solid over the years. This group should pick up more interceptions as the season progresses. I can't wait until Ware, Greg Ellis, Anthony Spencer, and Jay Ratliff are all on the field at the same time-rushing the passer.
I smell turnovers and sacks...

Scandrick has been solid and deserves the playing time. When Newman returns, it will be interesting to see how this group plays together. Campos' definitely had time with Scandrick and Jenkins and hopefully has an understanding of their strenghts and weaknesses. With Newman in the mix, Campo can minimize the weaikness and the secondary should become a strength the rest of the way. Flexability being a key component now, might beable to play Henry in some at Free Safety and Hamlin at strong, and even though thats an option, Davis hasnt played bad at SS. He has made some nice pass breakups, wow our SS , can you believe it.

I like both of our rookie DBs but Scandrick seems to have made the transition to the NFL more quickly than Jenkins. Jenkins has skills and will get it and Ii believe turn out to be a very good CB but Scandrick has something special and was a real steal where we got him.
I wish we would adjust our secondary and utilize them where they would do the most good but I guess that would take too much time to make the shift but I don't see why really.
I'd like to see Hamlin moved to SS, Henry to FS, Scandrick start opposite Newman at CB and Jenkins as the nickle back. Scandrick is excellent at covering the slot receiver because of his quickness and ability to read and react but I'd also like to see him get more playing time as the starter.
That would put our best players on the field and in positions to make plays. I hate seeing Keith Davis at SS because he is a liability in coverage although he is pretty good against the run. I think Hamlin would be just as good vs the run and much better vs the pass and Henry doesn't have the quickness or fluidity to play CB anymore so FS seems like a better fit for him.

Agreed, Thumper. That would also leave 'killer' much fresher for special teams. That increasingly gets important the later in the season it gets.
