Thanksgiving Day games no benefit to Dallas Cowboys
12:38 AM CDT on Thursday, March 19, 2009
Rich McKay, co-chairman of the NFL's competition committee, said statistics do not back up concerns that the Cowboys and Detroit Lions have an advantage when they host Thanksgiving Day games.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said at the Super Bowl that he would look at possibly rotating Thanksgiving games. Goodell said the annual contests involving the Cowboys and Detroit were safe in 2009.
