Bengals release Super Bowl XXXVII MVP Jackson, three others NFL.com Wire Reports
The Cincinnati Bengals terminated safety Dexter Jackson's contract Friday, allowing him to enter free agency.

2008 Statistics Games: 3 Tackles: 21 Interceptions: 0 Jackson was the MVP of Super Bowl XXXVII as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, intercepting two passes during a 48-21 victory over the Oakland Raiders to end the 2002 season.
Jackson, a 10-year NFL veteran, played the last three seasons for the Bengals, seeing action in 29 games with 28 starts. He was limited to three games in 2008 because of thumb and hamstring injuries. He logged 148 tackles during his three Bengals seasons, with three interceptions, seven passes defensed, three fumble recoveries, 1.5 sacks and one forced fumble.
The Bengals also waived guard James Blair, cornerback Marcus Brown and defensive end Victor DeGrate, all of whom were classified as first-year players in 2009. They were on the Bengals' practice squad for a portion of 2008, and all were signed to the 2009 offseason roster on Dec. 30.
