beat on the democrats for saying what the GOP and every noteworthy economist in the world is saying? nothing to see here, move along... Hey Ark ... I have a question for you Do you think its the worst economy, since the Great Depression? Its a strange thing about economists, they have them on both sides of the political aisle.

i say to hell with wall st and big business you want america to be strong again? let those monster corp's suffer the loses they deserve, make everyone pay the same flat tax (a national sales tax, not an income tax) and this will give ma'n'pa business's a fighting chance, then america will be stronger!

Those big guys use the same amount of toilet paper , bars of soap and tooth paste as we do , so they're going to be taxed the same as us ? they make Billions but will pay thousands , like us , in taxes. They'll pay the $10 to get into the movies , just like us , to see that fairy tale 'The American Dream'

If you think the big companies suffer from paying taxes your wrong. They have so many loopholes and deductions that they probably pay the lowest % of taxes in the country. And if not then they just pass the cost on to us. The only fair way to do taxes is exactly why Ark said. Lets have a National Sales Tax

My point was missed , I was talking about the executives paying their taxes , not corp.'s. Forget what they save or invest, but what they spend . They already have their mansions , yachts , and jets. Their day to day purchases are the same as the working man . The fairest tax is a flat 10% income tax with no exemptions or write offs. (no loopholes ) . If I make 50k , I pay 5k . If Bill Gates makes 5 Billion , he pays 500 million . You think he's gonna write a check for that amount ? And how much taxes would he pay in sales taxes on his personal family purchases at 10% ? ....500 million ? ...I doubt it.

Dude if you made 50k and paid 10% that would be about $400 per month you would pay in taxes. Could you afford $400 a month right now? I know I couldn't.

Yes Ark! I do want America to be strong! As does everyone who lives in this great nation as ours. Lets not forget, the Bush tax cuts expire at the end of the year. Obama doesn't have to do anything, but to sit back & watch the tax cuts vanish into thin air. With that being said... Your former Governor, Mike Huckabee, has been pushing the flat tax agenda. If it ever gets passed through the U.S. Congress? Half the people in Washington, D.C. would be without a job. I'd like to see the I.R.S. be abolished, too. Its not going to happen overnight, though. First of all, its going to take a President to belief in the flat tax. Than, he has to have his friends, on Capital Hill to pass it the flat tax. You know, the 535 members of Congress that we elect. Radio talk show host, Neil Boortz has been pushing the flat tax, too. Dammit! I forget the name of the Congressman from Georgia? (He believes in the flat tax, too.) Who was on his show a few years go. When Boortz's radio show aired on C-Span. Maybe... Everyone should jump on the "Huckabee Train?" Like, they did the "Obama Express.".
