The One is trying to get the FOCA Bill passed. This bill will allow abortions not just in the 1st trimester, but all the way to full term. This will allow girls, yes girls, not women starting @ age 12 not have to get consent from their parents to get an abortion. Also THE ONE is trying to get the GLBT Act passed. This bill gives the homosexual population unprecedented rights, and anyone speaking out against the homosexual population will be charged with a hate crime. In other words CHURCHES
yup here comes THE CHANGE

where did you hear this?
he did decide to "reverse the "global gag" rule -- also known as the "Mexico City" policy -- but did not reverse the policy on the anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision Roe v Wade, the Wall Street Journal reports (Meckler,Wall Street Journal, 1/23) ...Former Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush both used the anniversary of Roe to change U.S. policies regarding abortion and family planning, the Journal reports, adding that Obama is expected to make the reversal soon (Wall Street Journal, 1/23).
this reversal by "President Barack Obama on Friday struck down the Bush administration’s ban on giving federal money to international groups that perform abortions or provide abortion information — an inflammatory policy that has bounced in and out of law for the past quarter-century." this has nothing to do with the FOCA whatsoever!
in fact the only news i find on the FOCA at all is the mention of it in regards to pro life groups fears and it was reported "(FOCA)does not have enough support to pass legislative committees" no reports of Obama even mentioning it.

Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama is one of only 19 cosponsors of S. 1173, extreme legislation creating a “fundamental right” to abortion through all nine months of pregnancy. The so-called “Freedom of Choice Act” (FOCA) would prevent all governmental bodies at all levels from being able to “deny or interfere with a woman’s right to choose” or “discriminate” against the exercise of this right “in the regulation or provision of benefits, facilities, services or information.” Accordingly, FOCA would overturn all federal and state regulations on the abortion industry by making abortion a public entitlement. FOCA would eliminate laws on informed consent, parental consent, abortion clinic regulations, conscience protection laws, government programs that fund and promote childbirth without funding abortion, laws prohibiting certain abortion procedures (e.g., partial birth abortion), laws requiring that abortions only be performed by licensed physicians, etc. In sum, FOCA goes well beyond Roe v. Wade by creating an unqualified and unfettered right to abort preborn children. To see the wording of S. 1173, list of cosponsors, and bill summary, please click here: thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c110:S.1173:For a thorough analysis of the FOCA legislation by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop’s (USCCB) Office of General Counsel, please click here: www.usccb.org/prolife/issues/FOCA/analysis.pdfCardinal Justin Rigali, Chairman of the USCCB Committee on Pro-Life Activities, sent a strongly worded letter to members of Congress on September 19 urging rejection of any consideration of FOCA. “Despite it deceptive title, FOCA would deprive the American people in all 50 states of the freedom they now have to enact modest restraints and regulations on the abortion industry. FOCA would coerce all Americans into subsidizing and promoting abortion with their tax dollars. And FOCA would counteract any and all sincere efforts by government to reduce abortions in our country…We can’t reduce abortions by promoting abortion.”

got a CURRENT source?
per wikipedia: The FOCA bills were referred to the Judiciary Committees of their respective Houses. Neither bill received further action in the 108th Congress. The bills were reintroduced in the 110th Congress, but like their predecessors, have been referred to committee without further action. As of January, 2009, the bill has not been introduced to the 111th Congress.
and as i posted earlier, it was reported "(FOCA) currently does not have enough support to pass legislative committees."

Why does it have to be current? Fact is he backs this bill. He was one of the authors. At some point in his presidency he will attempt to get it passed.

Why does it have to be current? because you wrote "The One is trying to get the FOCA Bill passed...here comes THE CHANGE" this implies a communication of intent. lots of defeated bills are floating around out there with no hope of ressurection. in fact i heard they are removing family planning funding from current legislation in discussion. this doesn't sound like change to me.

can't you just admit this is nothing more than attempted mudslinging? Yes!! I am gonna be mudslinging every chance I get. I am going to pay attention to every move "The One" makes. I am going to be standing on the roof tops screaming I told you so at the top of my lungs. Especially in regards to taxes. And you better believe I will go postal if he follows through with his attempt to lift the ban on partial birth abortion. Its bad enough that my tax dollars are now going to be spent on federally funded abortions. These types of things are exactely why I do not vote democrat. I have said many times the main reason I vote republican is based on social issues.

can't you just admit this is nothing more than attempted mudslinging? Give him time, Ark. He's only been in the White House seven days. Has he even been on Air Force1, yet?

yeah but for once the vast majority of America agrees with me!!
this is getting way off topic, but as long as we are going down this road, let me take the opportunity to vent a little.
there is an obvious reason IMO why your beloved GOP no longer has a deathgrip on the religious vote! who do YOU thank for that?
how low did your guy get in his approval ratings? last i heard he was flirting with 20% - FREAKIN' 20%!!!!! historically lower than ANYONE EVER!!!
yeah, i feel vindicated. most righties feel as violated now as i have felt for years, either by the guy they used to support or by the new guy they hate! either way is fine by me, i hope it really sucks for all of you, because it really really sucked for me to have to sit by and watch King Shrub RUIN AMERICA in so many ways, all the time knowing that I SAID THIS WOULD HAPPEN!!

Well after "The One" is finished it will be even worse not only financially but security wise as well. He will weaken this countries defenses far below anything Clinton did. What did you think about his first televised interview being done on non-American tv?
